Sharing sunrise

There we both were, enjoying the sunrise together, the eagle and me.
Pooka and I had made our way to the west side water reservoir above Coulee Dam. This a nice spot to watch the treetops begin to glow as the sunlight brushes their leaves with the newness of the morning.
And today, I got to share it with an eagle.

See if you can spot him sitting on the cliff.

Helicopter high wire

Sub regional wrestling at LRHS

Top wrestling action now at the Lake Roosevelt gym. Going into the second round, most LR athletes expected to win survived the first round. Tim Loch even bested a much higher ranked wrestler in this multi-school tournament.

Cold but so what

Crescent Lake below (not Lake Roosevelt in background) is frozen. The temp has risen with the sun to 24. The dog is perfectly comfortable.
